Magazine

The Big Issue is one of Britain’s leading news and cultural magazines. Every week’s edition is packed full of original takes on the biggest issues of the day as well as interviews with the most significant figures in politics and entertainment. The Big Issue was founded 1991 to give people experiencing homelessness the opportunity to earn their own income. We continue to support hundreds of vendors across the UK and all proceeds from sales go to help anyone wanting to lift themselves out of poverty.

FOOD FOR GOOD • In a world of climate crisis, conflict and alarm over food security, how can we future-proof our own long-term supply of food here in the UK? In this special edition, we’ve visited food banks to get the view from the front lines, and dug into the advice on how to help your community become more resilient. We also went to Norwich, where the green shoots of self-sufficiency are starting to grow, and met the people using food as a way to lift people out of homelessness. It’s a lot to chew on.
